LEGAL & COMPLIANCE
This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules that apply when customers use Internet access and related network services supplied by MME Networks.
This policy applies to every customer and authorised user of Internet access, network and related services supplied by MME Networks. Use of a service constitutes acceptance of this policy together with the applicable service agreement and terms.
Customers may not knowingly create, store, access, transmit, publish or disseminate unlawful content or use a service to facilitate unlawful activity. Customers must comply with South African law and must respect copyright, trade marks, privacy and all other intellectual property and legal rights.
Customers may not send, promote or enable unsolicited bulk communications, spam, phishing, fraudulent messages, harassment or threats. Contact support@mmen.co.za to report suspected abuse originating from the MME Networks network.
Customers may not attempt unauthorised access, interception, scanning, interference, denial-of-service activity, malware distribution, credential theft or any action that compromises a person, device, system or network. Security controls and usage restrictions may not be bypassed.
Customers must use shared network resources responsibly and may not operate a service in a way that materially degrades service for other users, damages infrastructure or creates an unreasonable operational or security risk. MME Networks may take proportionate technical steps to protect network availability and integrity.
Customers are responsible for activity carried out through their connection, including activity by household members, staff, guests and connected devices. Customers should secure routers, devices and credentials and notify MME Networks promptly if compromise is suspected.
MME Networks may investigate suspected abuse and may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate a service where this policy, the service terms or the law is breached. Where appropriate, unlawful activity may be reported to ISPA, WAPA or the relevant authorities. Action will be reasonable and proportionate to the risk and circumstances.
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, regulatory, security or service changes. The current version will remain available on this page. Questions may be sent to support@mmen.co.za.
